Common questions

Which plan is best for me?

This depends on a couple of things. First, how confident are you updating your own website? Second, how mission critical is its performance? If you’re a small/startup ministry, or you are happy making changes yourself the basic plan will probably work for you. If you’re a larger ministry, want more on-tap support, or need excellent website performance, take a look at ‘Flourish’ or ‘Thrive’ to get the best results.

What does the ‘monthly support’ quota mean?

Firstly, all plans include backups, website security, updates, and service monitoring — the baseline things that ensure the website keeps running smoothly. In addition to this, you get a support allocation for anything else reasonably related to the day-to-day maintenance of your site. This might mean updating an image or text, installing new plugins, or showing you how to do these things on your own!

I already have a website, can you look after it for me?

In most cases we’ll only host and maintain websites we built — it means we know the configuration inside out and can give you the best service. However in some cases we can assist, get in touch and we can have a look at your setup.

Is this hosting service secure?

In this day and age it’s impossible to *guarantee* security, but we employ a range of standard measures to keep things as safe as possible. This usually includes forced 2-factor authentication, a web application firewall (WAF), serving all content over HTTPS, and denial-of-service (DDOS) protection.

Do you have a policy around fair use?

We follow a fair use policy to provide fair access to services for all partners. This means services are offered on a ‘best effort’ basis, and we may decline requests that are unreasonable or unfeasible.

This policy also extends to website availability. Since server resources are shared, high or unexpected traffic volumes may impact speed or accessibility. In such cases, we can temporarily increase your website’s capacity or suggest a more appropriate plan for long-term needs.

Where are your websites hosted?

Your website will be hosted on a server located in Sydney, Australia. If your plan includes it, we can also set up a global content delivery network (CDN) to deliver content more efficiently to international visitors by using servers closer to their location.
